The artist is Kuindzhi
Sketches of the painting “Birch Grove” belonging to the Russian Museum help to understand the creative method of Kuindzhi, to see in which direction work was going on on the work. The first multicolor plena sketch is marked by the seal of specific field impressions. Birch trees freely located in the forest glade, light shadows, sunlight, sliding along the grass and abundant foliage of trees, color gradations and lighten transitions, free, dynamic manner of writing carefully traced in kind – all this creates a feeling of full life of summer nature.
