Alexander Nevsky spent the winter and summer of 1263 in the Golden Horde. He arrived there with the gifts with which he tried to make amends for the consequences of last year’s riots against the Khan Baskaks in the cities of the Suzdal land. In the fall, he got the opportunity to leave for his homeland, but along the way he died and died on November 14 in Gorodets (now Nizhny Novgorod Region).
