Anichkov Palace-one of the imperial palaces of St. Petersburg. I got its name from the bridge of the same name.
Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich (future emperor Alexander III) received the palace in 1866 as a wedding gift from his father, Emperor Alexander II, and chose his residence.
The interiors of the palace have been repeatedly subjected to alterations in connection with the desires of new owners. As a result of updates of the premises of the 1870s, in the library and “museum” of Emperor Alexander III, stained glass windows of Vladimir Dmitrievich Sverchkov appeared in the windows.
