Posted on December 19, 2022December 21, 2022

The artist is Aivazovsky

The chamber pink-blue Marina, characteristic of the 1870s, with the view of the port city, which Aivazovsky paid as much attention as sea storms and other topics in his work. During the years of rapid spread of steam ships, the image of the French or North Italian port with frozen sailboats at the berths was a kind of memory of the master about the years of romantic youth, about the first travels and inspiring hopes painted with mild melancholy.
