Posted on December 19, 2022December 21, 2022

The artist is Bogolyubov

The picture belongs to the period of the creative maturity of Bogolyubov, which developed its own manner of scripture of coastal landscapes. It finds a virtuoso technique and a deep knowledge of the object of the image – whether it is the sea, land, or stuffage, which is characteristic of the heyday of the master’s painting.

Nikolai Krylov / Aivazovsky and Marinists in Russia. Exhibition catalog in Malaga. 2021, p. 72.
