Havr. Entrance to the port during a tide

Posted on December 19, 2022December 21, 2022

The artist is Beggrov

Belytgrov Alexander Karlovich is one of the largest masters of the naval landscape of the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries, which continued in his work the academic traditions of this genre. Contemporaries called Alexander Beggrov an artist of the sea. He possessed impeccable image technique of sea ships. The work was written during the artist’s stay in France, in the port city of Gavra-one of the largest in France, which, of course, has become an attractive image of an image for an artist-Marinist from Russia.
